Internship Showcase: Win $500!!


The Internship Office is giving students award money to share with the university their internship, clinical, practicum, student teaching, field study, or other applied learning experience in the Internship Office Annual “Strut Your Stuff” Internship Showcase. The purpose of the internship showcase is to let other students on campus know about the phenomenal experiences available to them through interning.

The contest is open to all current BYU students who have completed or are currently completing an internship, clinical, practicum, student teaching, field study, or other applied learning experience as part of their BYU education (whether or not for credit). Application does not guarantee participation in the event. Selected entrants will prepare a table display for the Internship Showcase on Friday, March 16, 2012 in the WSC Central Ballroom where displays will be judged for awards. Awards will be given as follows:

Grand Prize: $500.00           
Runner-up Prize: $250.00               
7 Category Prizes: $250 for each category
7 Runner-up Prizes: $100 for each category
Most creative display; Most informative display; Most interactive display; Most unique internship; Most influential internship; Most motivational internship; and The People’s Choice Award
All remaining participants will receive a $50 gift card to the BYU Bookstore. In addition, all display participants will receive an Internship Showcase t-shirt.

Interested students may access the application online at saas.byu.edu/intern; students should complete the application and email it to Kim_Lowe@byu.eduApplications must be emailed by 5:00pm on Friday, February 10, 2012. Selected participants will be notified by Friday, February 17, 2012 and will be expected to create a display in the WSC Central Ballroom on Friday, March 16, 2012, to which departments, other students, and experience providers will be invited. Winners will be announced at 1:00 pm by Associate Academic Vice President Jeffrey Keith.
