Caregiver Events September 24-28
Happy Fall!
The Volunteer Caregiver Respite Program is now searching for volunteers! This program has been designed to provide caregivers with a 3-4 hour break on a weekly basis. The respite volunteer will bring relief in the form of a break for the primary caregiver of a vulnerable chronically ill, or frail, older adult that can no longer be left alone. The respite volunteer does not provide homemaking services or any hands-on nursing-type assistance or care. Please email Carol Wheatley at cwheatley@mountainland.org for more information or to fill out an application.
Don't forget to visit mountainland.org/aging to find out more about this program and other programs to help caregivers and seniors.
The Alzheimer's Association has received a grant to provide care consultations and resources for families of loved ones suffering with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Contact Sylvia Brunisholz at 801-265-1944 or sylvia.brunisholz@alz.org to set up an appointment at Mountainland Department of Aging & Family Services (Area Agency on Aging) located at 586 E 800 N in Orem.
