Living Well with Chronic Disease Classes
2 - 4 PM
Mountainland Association of Governments (Area Agency on Aging)
586 E 800 N, Orem

There is still space in the FREE and informative classes which started two weeks ago. These classes are meeting once a week for 6 weeks from 2-4 pm. Subjects covered will include: techniques to combat frustration, fatigue, pain and isolation; appropriate exercise to maintain and improve strength; appropriate use of medications and proper nutrition; techniques to effectively communicate with family, friends, and health professionals and guidelines to evaluate new treatments. Overview of Senior Care Services & Resources

As a Utah non-profit organization, the Utah Senior Care Council is sponsoring this workshop in their efforts to educate seniors and their family members about the various resources and services available to them. This will help seniors make informed decisions about their care, their finances, and other important matters that affect them. Alzheimer's Support for Families
The Alzheimer's Association in conjunction with Mountainland Department of Aging is looking for 10 families who are caring for a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. A family counselor will be provided that will meet with the families on a regular basis to offer support and resources.
